The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is Scotland’s first designated National Park and is a natural treasure trove waiting to be discovered. There are 22 lochs in the park and many hills, rivers and trails.

Loch Katrine is a 15 minute drive from Callander and here you can take a trip on the Famous Sir Walter Scott – take either a round trip or stop off at Stronachlachar and cycle or walk back along the banks of the loch itself. Bicycles can also be rented at the pier.

At the nearby Lake Of Menteith you can visit the romantic Inchmahome Priory by taking a boat trip to the small island once inhabited by monks.
